Three Quebec Immigration offices

On November 16, 2011, in News, by Yves Martineau

Between March 31, 2012 and March 31, 2013, the Quebec Immigration offices of Sao Paolo, Paris, and Vienna will close. That means that all candidates who were about to send their application for Certificate of Selection of Quebec in the Skilled Worker category will now send their application to Montreal. Some will wonder if it is a good or a bad news.

I think it is a very good news, because closing offices will not affect the quality of processes. Instead it will save money, that hopefully will be reinvested to hire more employees who will be better equipped to receive applications. Waiting times have been increasing in the past few years; this change is likely to imply a reduction in processing times.

It should be mentioned that the interviews will still be done in the country of residence of the immigration applicants, so nothing will change there.
