Montreal made of ice

On January 9, 2012, in Life in Canada, News, by Mihaela Mindicanu

Montreal welcomes you to visit the Snowvillage, a replica of the city made out of ice and snow.

An Ice Hotel, a restaurant, a convention centre to hold corporate meetings, a heated glass igloo, a bar with terrace, all made of ice, is what you will find in the Snowvillage located in Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau. With natural light during daytime and architectural light effects at night, the winter wonderland will be opened from January 6, 2012 to March 31. Couples have a chance to get married in the Ice Chapel in an extremely romantic setting.

The ice city expects you with various monuments and four symbolic Montreal buildings (Bonsecours Market, the Olympic Stadium, the Museum of Fine Arts and the St-Joseph’s Oratory).
